Lynwood Care Centre in Ascot transformed into the 'Lynwood Explorer,' a themed cruise ship in July, taking residents on a journey through Spain, Italy, Jamaica and Nigeria through cultural activities, music and cuisine. Alison, customer relations manager at Lynwood Care Centre, said: "We wanted to create more than just a themed activity. Residents took part in Spanish fan-making, explored Italian landmarks, created Caribbean percussion instruments and learned about Nigerian traditions. The month ended with a Captain's Dinner, where local resident Captain Mike shared stories from his career in aviation. Alison described the project as 'something special' and said it brought back memories, conversation and excitement throughout the month.
