Ramanagara : Two passengers died after a Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus met with a fatal accident on the Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway near Avaregere Gate in Ramanagara taluk during the early hours of Saturday.
Some of the injured passengers were reported to have suffered serious injuries and were shifted to hospitals for treatment.
The accident led to a brief disruption of traffic on the busy expressway as the overturned bus remained on the carriageway.
Police officials inspected the accident spot and initiated an investigation to ascertain the exact circumstances leading to the crash.
The crash has once again highlighted concerns over road safety on the Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway, where high-speed traffic and heavy vehicle movement remain a challenge.
