Rhyl’s 11th annual Play Day event, held at Christchurch Playing Fields on August 5, attracted 3,800 visitors who enjoyed a packed programme of free family-friendly activities. Organised by Denbighshire County Council’s Play Ranger service, the event is designed to give children and families a chance to enjoy the summer holidays together through open play. Dawn Anderson, Denbighshire Childcare and Play Development Manager, said: "We were delighted to invite local families along to our 11th annual Play Day event. "Each year, this event goes from strength to strength, and is now a firm favourite within the summer holidays for local families." Councillor Diane King, Lead Member for Education, Children and Families, said: "It was brilliant to be in attendance and to see local families enjoy their summer holidays together."
