Farnhill Pinnacle restored to its original glory in honour of former resident
['Lesley Tate']
Craven Herald | News
Farnhill Pinnacle was built in under two weeks in June, 1887 by the villagers of Farnhill and Kildwick after the community very nearly missed marking Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee.
Shirley Foster-McIntosh, now lives in California, but was brought up in Oxfordshire and has always visited the pinnacle on trips to Yorkshire.
"Although I now live in California, the pinnacle continues to be a really significant part of our whole family.
"It has been a long process, but I was fortunate to be assisted by Jodie Fieldhouse, Farnhill Parish Clerk, Farnhill Parish Council, and Councillor Andy Brown.
"Once completed, the pinnacle will be restored to its original beauty and will again be visible from miles around."
