The Furness Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) shared this week that recent training has been undertaken to get more officers on bikes. This will be incorporated into their daily duties, working and connecting with residents across the peninsula. A spokesperson from NPT said: "Several of our Community Beat Officers and PCSOs have completed their training to use electrically-assisted pedal cycles as part of their daily duties. "And yes, before you ask, these are the legal kind of e-bikes." Operation Blackwater is the ongoing crackdown on the anti-social and criminal use of off-road bikes, e-bikes and e-scooters.
