Janet Mushing, 70, and her son Daniel Mushing, 40, admitted to charges of theft from a shop. The pair, both of Lockerbie Close, Winwick, were sentenced at Warrington Magistrates Court on Wednesday. He stated that Janet entered the Waterstones store in Golden Square armed with a bag for life. The books were art books titled Last of Us, volume one and volume two, and came to the value of £95.98. Meanwhile, Janet Mushing was handed a lesser fine of £281.99 – also to be paid within 28 days.
