The Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA) has directed authorities to begin development work on the Green Enclave I Housing Scheme in Bhara Kahu within one month after removing all remaining obstacles.
The decision came during a meeting of the FGEHA Executive Board chaired by Housing and Works Minister Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada.
The minister expressed dissatisfaction over the prolonged delay and directed officials to resolve the issue within four weeks.
FGEHA launched the housing scheme several years ago, but development work stopped after the authority signed a construction agreement in 2019 because of disputes over contract terms, work execution, and revised security costs.
During the meeting, the board also discussed a proposal to establish a boarding school and hospital in the Sky Garden Housing Scheme (Green Enclave II) under a revenue-sharing model.
