Residents had complained about the overgrowth in Tonge Cemetery, Bolton, as they had done in other areas around the town.
The council previously stated the issue was caused by 'exceptionally warm and wet weather conditions,' which 'resulted in unprecedented grass growth.'

But the cemetery has now been mowed by council officers, on both sides of the yard.
But all the grass in the cemetery has now been mowed by Bolton Council, who, after the recent complaints, will be adhering to a four-week maintenance rota from now on.
