The closures are scheduled to take place on the A7 Longtown, from its junction with the A6071, stretching north-east for approximately 4.7km. The restrictions are set to begin on August 16, with the road expected to be shut each night from 7pm to 6am. Pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will still be able to pass throughout the closures, and a signed diversion route will be in place for vehicles. The works are scheduled to take place over eight nights in total.
