Jones, of Petteril Terrace, Carlisle, admitted using threatening behaviour with intent to cause harassment, alarm and distress. David Wales, for Jones, said she accepted that her conduct that day had been “entirely inappropriate.” Mr Wales said Jones had suffered from alcohol addiction, having had a problematic relationship with it throughout her life. "She was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.” They declined to award the victim compensation and ruled that a restraining order would not be appropriate or proportionate.
