Amanda Thomas, a former finance consultant from Norfolk who now runs Eye Gardens near Diss, designed the Butterfly Sanctuary Garden. He took home the People’s Choice Award and a prestigious Silver Gilt medal at the first-ever RHS Sandringham Flower Show. The garden, created in partnership with the national charity Butterfly Conservation, shone a light on "forgotten" pollinators, drawing praise from visitors and professionals alike. She also used the garden as a platform to promote this year’s Big Butterfly Count, a national survey run by Butterfly Conservation. "So many people came to see us, took home Big Butterfly Count ID guides and told us about all the butterflies they see in their gardens.
