KANSAS CITY, Kan. — The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks scored five runs in the third inning to spark a 17-7 victory against Kansas City on Friday in American Association baseball at Legends Field.
Dillon Thomas had a three-run home run in the first inning that gave F-M a 4-0 lead.
ADVERTISEMENTF-M catcher Juan Fernandez went 5-for-6 and scored two runs as the team finished with 20 hits overall.
The RedHawks (38-33) next play Kansas City at 6:35 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at Legends Field.
F-M has won two consecutive games, scoring a combined 31 runs in those two victories.
