Gauteng Department of e-Government operators, supported by Hatfield CID and the South African Police Service (SAPS), intercepted a vehicle linked to an Insurance Crime Bureau (ICB) fraud investigation after it was identified using Vumacam’s LPR network. Further inspection revealed multiple cloned VINs. Through detailed verification, officers established the vehicle’s true identity, confirming it had been reported as robbed from its owner.
