Tests on packages of drugs discovered in an alleged drug smuggler’s suitcase revealed dozens of fingerprints, but none linked to the accused.
As her trial continued yesterday, jurors were shown photographs of the suitcase and its contents taken shortly after the drugs were discovered.
The photographs showed two large vacuum-sealed packages, one on each side of the hard-shell suitcase, each holding multiple smaller heat-sealed packages of plant material.
In addition to the plant material, one of the packages contained two white hand towels, while the second contained one white hand towel and one pair of black jeans.
However, she said she was “shocked” to discover the suitcase contained packages of plant material and was adamant that her DNA and fingerprints would not be found on the packages.
