A Chicago man is facing murder and kidnapping charges in connection with a June incident on the city’s Southwest Side. Luis Suarez-Vasquez, 18, a resident of the 1300 block of South Kedvale Avenue, is charged with one count of first-degree murder, two counts of armed robbery with a firearm, and three counts of kidnapping. Members of the Chicago Police Department’s Area 1 Homicide Investigations Support Team arrested Suarez-Vasquez on Aug. 5 on the 16500 block of South Kedzie Parkway in Markham. During the same incident, two victims, a 17-year-old boy and a 19-year-old woman were robbed at gunpoint, alongside a 33-year-old man as they were held without consent, police said. Suarez-Vasquez was placed into custody and subsequently charged.
