Arsenal have officially confirmed the signing of Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle United, bringing to an end one of the biggest transfer sagas of the summer. The Brazil international arrives on a long-term contract after the Premier League champions agreed a deal worth £75 million for the 28-year-old midfielder. Guimaraes becomes another major addition to Mikel Arteta’s squad as Arsenal continue strengthening ahead of their title defence and another challenge for the UEFA Champions League. Guimaraes leaves Newcastle after almost 200 appearances, helping the Magpies lift the 2025 Carabao Cup and qualify for the Champions League on two occasions.
