Amy Truax, longtime Flying Cloud Institute development manager, was presented the very first FCI “golden coin,” minted at FCI, for her years of service, putting the organization on the Berkshire STEM map. Years later, it is obvious the program is still “getting” children—who are immediately accepted and supported as “Flying Cloud’s children.” Summer Camp ends, Future Innovators and Young Women in Science are set to begin“Today, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude,” Rundle continued. Young Women in Science STEM Summer, a week-long lab exploration held at Berkshire Community College in Pittsfield, will also run August 10 to 14. “In this program, youth dive into hands-on science and engineering investigations with guidance from practicing female STEM professionals,” Rundle explains.
