He was handed a prison sentence of three years and four months. The conviction followed a police raid on the Glan Llyn estate in Llanwern in May last year, where neighbourhood officers seized drugs with a street value of up to £88,000, along with £5,764 in cash, mobile phones, and drug paraphernalia. A 41-year-old woman from the Birmingham area pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply class A drugs—namely cocaine—and received a suspended sentence. Neighbourhood Inspector Roland Giles said:"Drugs fill our communities with misery, suffering and fear and people like Lothian prey upon the vulnerable in our society.
