Volunteering for Newport Live has been one of the great privileges of my life. Stepping back has given me the chance to talk about Newport Live from the outside and the freedom to celebrate just how extraordinary its work really is. Newport Live isn’t just a leisure trust that manages a few buildings. From the Riverfront Theatre to the Newport Stadium, from pickleball to under‑10s tennis, from dance classes to wellbeing sessions - Newport Live touches thousands of lives every single week. Newport Live is a charity that changes lives quietly, consistently, and with a professionalism that often goes unnoticed – which tends to be the case with most good things.
