Newport’s Old Green roundabout, a key city gateway and focus of longstanding improvement plans, is still included in proposals supported by the Welsh Government, according to the Deputy Minister for Transport. Mr Hooper said: "A lot of people see Newport, the M4 and Old Green as part of a connected system. "I think Old Green is where the Burns recommendations are something that we're supporting. "I'm committed to the Burns recommendations, which includes the Old Green Roundabout." Further details on Newport’s transport plans are expected when ministers make announcements in the autumn.
