Toronto City Council has approved a resolution to temporarily rename a major commercial stretch in the North York district of Canada as "BTS Boulevard." With this move, the authorities have established one of the largest municipal marketing activations tied to a South Korean music act outside Asia. Under the motion introduced by Councillor Lily Cheng during council sessions held July 29–30, Yonge Street between North York Boulevard and Finch Avenue will carry the BTS name from August 21 through September 23. The temporary upgrade aligns with the group’s upcoming concerts in Toronto owing to their ARIRANG World Tour, targeting the influx of fans attending the events. Notably, the performances will be held at Rogers Stadium on August 22 and 23.
