While the gaming industry is rapidly embracing digital distribution, Nintendo has revealed that physical game sales remain a significant part of its business.
However, the remaining 38.5% of software sales came from physical copies, demonstrating that retail game cartridges continue to enjoy substantial demand despite the industry’s ongoing digital transformation.
Capcom, for example, has previously stated that it is not overly concerned about shrinking physical sales, noting that roughly 90% of its game sales already come through digital channels.
