This morning, at approximately 10:15 a.m., Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop G responded to a single-vehicle crash on Louisiana Highway 157 near Bolinger Cutoff Road. The crash claimed the life of 66-year-old Gregory Schildroth of Springhill. Schildroth, who was unrestrained at the time of the crash, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced deceased at the scene. While not all crashes are survivable, statistics show that properly wearing your seatbelt will dramatically reduce your chance of being severely injured or killed in a crash. Properly wearing your seatbelt is one of the most effective ways to save your life and reduce injuries during crashes.
