“Attending 4-H Congress was an unforgettable experience that challenged me both personally and academically,” McKee said. “The experience also allowed me to meet other 4-H members from across Texas, build friendships and discuss potential legislation from different perspectives,” she said. “4-H Congress was an experience that not only expanded my knowledge of government but also inspired me to become a more confident leader and engaged citizen.” Texas 4-H Congress is held every two years and is open to 4-H members in grades 9-12 who complete an application process. The next Texas 4-H Congress is scheduled for July 16-19, 2028, in Austin.
