The Freehold Township Little League squad heads to the Junior League World Series from Aug. 9-17 in Taylor, Michigan. Their first game kicks off at 4 p.m. Sunday against Taylor North, the Michigan District 5 champions who also host the tournament. This marks the third time a squad from the township has played in Taylor. The World Series brings together top squads with 13- and 14-year-old players from across the country and globe. "We would be honored to have you join us as we celebrate these outstanding young athletes before they represent Freehold Township, the State of New Jersey, and the East Region on the world stage," officials wrote.
