Children and adults got an up-close look at animals from around the world during the Animal Encounters program on Aug. 4 at Irons Oaks Environmental Learning Center.
Presented by Crosstown Exotics, the hour-long program introduced attendees to amphibians, reptiles and insects while instructor Mike Levins explained how each species survives in the wild.
