Inzpire marks milestone in British Army RPAS training with first formal operator courseInzpire has delivered the first Central Flying School (CFS)-endorsed remotely piloted aircraft system (RPAS) operator training course for the British Army out of the Royal School of Artillery (RSA).
The new course represents a deliberate and significant shift in how the British Army approaches uncrewed systems training and marks the transition from an initial fielding phase into a structured programme embedded within the Army’s principal artillery training establishment.
Central to this training milestone is Inzpire’s provision of the first CFS-endorsed RPAS instructor to be embedded within the British Army.
Ian Williamson brings over 155 flying hours on the Eagle system, a background spanning MQ-9 Reaper operations and concurrent reservist duties in uncrewed systems research and development.
“It has been a privilege to deliver the first CFS-endorsed RPAS operator course at the Royal School of Artillery, which is at the forefront of integrating uncrewed technologies to increase combat effectiveness.
