A new online tool will help connect Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) customers in Maryland with employment and training opportunities. The Maryland Department of Human Services launched the tool to allow SNAP recipients to more easily search for employment and training providers in their desired location and industry. In 2026, Maryland partnered with 46 SNAP Employment and Training providers across the state, expanding its provider network by 48%. SNAP recipients can access free training and education services, as well as support services like transportation, clothing, safety equipment, soft skills training, resume building, and job search assistance. But that was a less sharp decline than the 12% drop that SNAP recipients experienced nationally.
