Paine College wiped out unpaid balances that were owed to the school itself. For those students who left because of these unpaid balances, they can return to Paine College as early as the upcoming Fall semester. The program helps those who left because they couldn't afford to stay or had bills they couldn't pay. "If financial hardship or unpaid balances directly to the college forced you to pause your education, your slate is cleared," the institution said in a news release. The forgiveness covers only what students owed to Paine College.
