Main Street Texarkana Launches Campaign to 'Light Up W. Broad St.

Main Street Texarkana is asking the community to help brighten downtown with its new "Light Up West Broad Street" campaign. Campaign Aims to Raise $125,000 in Matching FundsMain Street hopes to raise $125,000 in matching funds to extend the decorative string lights already in place on East Broad Street, creating one continuous, well-lit downtown corridor. "We're excited to partner with our community to bring this vision to life," said Main Street Texarkana Executive Director Ina McDowell. According to Main Street Texarkana, the decorative lighting on East Broad Street has helped create a more welcoming atmosphere while encouraging people to spend more time shopping, dining, and attending events downtown.
