The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has uncovered details of how the alleged operator of the fictitious Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi, reportedly spent about ₦400 million on vehicles, relatives and luxury items. The findings were contained in a police investigation report dated July 24, 2026, which examined allegations of criminal conspiracy, forgery, impersonation, obtaining money under false pretences, theft of public funds and money laundering. Adeyemi had allegedly claimed that he paid ₦400 million to facilitate his appointment, but the police said aspects of his statements contradicted one another. Investigators also traced inflows into accounts linked to Adeyemi and reviewed how the funds were subsequently spent. The police gave the details of how Adeyemi lured a businessman to part with ₦400 million in anticipation of a renovation contract.
