There’s $3,000, mounds of garbage and a chance to turn discarded junk into art up for grabs. Metro’s GLEAN program is looking for artists in Washington, Clackamas and Multnomah counties to transform trash into something beautiful. Each selected artist will receive a $3,000 stipend and five months to gather materials and create a piece for the spring exhibition. And if the art sells, artists receive 80% of the commission.
