Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Motorists who use one of the busiest interchanges along Highway 52 in Rochester are being advised that they may experience traffic congestion, particularly during peak travel hours, because of changes made on Friday. Why traffic congestion is expectedThe Minnesota Department of Transportation says the changes involve the lanes at the exit ramp from southbound Highway 52 onto 2nd Street Southwest. There is now one lane available for left turns and one lane for through traffic to 6th Street Southwest, and one lane for right turns. The change removed one of the left-turn lane options that was shared with the middle lane for through traffic. Motorists are being advised to plan for extra time if they plan to travel through the intersection on the west side of the 2nd Street Southwest overpass.
