Franklin County’s boys golf team played in the Scott County Cardinal Classic Tuesday at Cherry Blossom. It was a rough day for the Flyers, but the highlight was Brooks Young, who shot a career-best even-par 72. The Flyers bounced back with a strong showing at the GRC Invitational Thursday at Gibson Bay in Richmond. FCHS’ Noah Casey birdied his final two holes to earn a top 10 finish and lead the team, followed by Myles Williams and Young, who celebrated his birthday Thursday. The Flyers conclude the tournament heavy portion of their schedule on Saturday in the Madison Southern Invitational at Battlefield Golf Course.
