Well, “wrecked” might be an overstatement, but there was significant damage all over the town, most notably at my church, Farmville Presbyterian. In fact, two of The Herald’s five storm pics in the July 29 issue were from our church property. What Jesus instituted in earth with his coronation on the cross was the ability for us all as children of God to find real community. This is not to say that all good community must be labeled “Christian” or must be church or faith-based, not at all. Our ability to realize good, enduring community, however, is a gift from God and is the goal to which Christ continues to call us.
