The Springboks continued their winning streak with a hard-fought win secured by a last goalline stand on a day where both sides failed to fire in attack and defences dominated. Argentina, missing plenty of regular starters, could take huge credit from a strong showing though were left to rue a series of missed opportunities and a faltering second-half set-piece. Rassie Erasmus will not have been best pleased by the overall Springboks showing with the Rugby’s Greatest Rivalry series against the All Blacks to come over the next few weeks, and watched Siya Kolisi limp off in the first half.
