A Vancouver Island couple is just steps away from completing their eight-year, 15,000-kilometre journey across Canada. Their massive trek started eight years ago on Canada’s Atlantic coast. Since then, Simon Lanoix and Julie Chatelain have taken approximately 20-million steps walking the Trans-Canada Trail. The Langford couple dipped their toes in the waters of St. John’s, Nfld., and started walking. Along the way, they’ve found their trek has inspired people who have read about their trip, including Mason McDonough.
