ROCHESTER — Motorists who exit Highway 52 southbound at Second Street Southwest in Rochester will have turn lane changes and may experience traffic congestion, especially during peak travel hours, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation. Motorists exiting Highway 52 southbound at Second Street SW will have single lanes each for left turns, through traffic to Sixth Street SW and right turns. The changes remove one left turn lane option that was shared by the middle lane for through traffic. Second Street SW continues to be closed and detoured several blocks east of the interchange. The changes are related to the city of Rochester’s Link bus rapid transit project as it progresses along Second Street SW.
