['Matt Drake']
Oxford Mail | News
Go Thames Valley - a network that includes Thames Travel, Oxford Bus Company, Carousel Buses, and Pulhams - will offer free travel to children between the ages of five and 15 throughout August as part of the government’s Great British Summer Savings campaign.
The scheme runs from August 1 to August 31 and aims to help families enjoy more affordable days out across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Gloucestershire, and the Cotswolds.
Luke Marion, managing director of Go Thames Valley, said: "We’re delighted to be taking part in this scheme for children during the summer holidays, allowing families to get around for less.
The free travel offer excludes the airline and The Robin services.
Go Thames Valley already runs a number of cost-saving schemes for younger passengers, including the CityZone ‘Get Around for £1’ scheme in Oxford for passengers aged 18 and under who hold a Get Around Card.
