The Willowcroft and St Birinus School Streets Scheme is expected to go live from September when pupils return to school after the summer break. Oxfordshire County Council said the school streets scheme is an "active travel measure to encourage walking, wheeling, cycling and scooting to schools". The county council is running an advice session on Wednesday August 12, from 10am to 1pm at Didcot Library. The school streets 'trial' in Didcot could run for 18 months. This is going to catch a lot of people out, and create a lot of anger towards Oxfordshire County Council."
