Jamie Bradbury, 29, of Lancaster Street, appeared before Preston Crown Court on Monday, August 3, charged with one count of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and one count of drug driving. Ms Orewole suffered a bleed on the brain, multiple rib fractures and a laceration to her liver. He said: “Your driving onto the pavement was so inexplicable that someone who was there says you are making no attempt to stop the vehicle. The court also heard that the defendant did not have a licence to drive even a car, let alone the 7tn truck. Bradbury was sentenced to 21 months’ imprisonment and was disqualified from driving for 44 months.
