Electricity consumers across most of Pakistan will pay an additional Rs. 0.7503 per unit in their August bills after the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) approved a fuel charges adjustment (FCA) for electricity consumed in June 2026. The additional charge will apply to consumers of K-Electric and all ex WAPDA distribution companies (XWDISCOs), except lifeline consumers, electric vehicle charging stations, prepaid consumers on prepaid tariffs, and electricity supplied under the applicable exempted categories. 4.9 billion in partial loading charges incurred during June 2026, noting that the amount was about Rs. NEPRA directed the CPPA G to present a strategy to reduce partial loading charges.
