Larry Rhorden and Democratic opponent Dan Ahlers have set two debates prior to November’s general election.
The gubernatorial candidates will be in attendance at the South Dakota State Fair and again during a late-September debate co-hosted by South Dakota Public Broadcasting and South Dakota News Watch.
ADVERTISEMENTThe South Dakota State Fair Debate will take place during the weekend of the state fair in Huron, which runs Wednesday, Sept. 2 to Monday, Sept. 7.
The other debate is scheduled for 8 p.m. Central time from the SDPB studio in Sioux Falls.
Lt. Gov Tony Venhuizen, who on Thursday was officially named as Rhoden’s running mate, challenged Ahlers’ yet-to-be-named running mate to a lieutenant governor candidates debate.
