Chennai:The divorce proceedings involving Chief Minister and Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) chief C. Joseph Vijay came to an end on Friday after his wife, Sangeetha, withdrew her matrimonial petition before the family court in Chengalpet.
According to the court records, the petition was e-filed on February 24, 2026, and the first hearing was held on February 26.
The court records show the case status as ‘disposed’ and the nature of disposal as ‘uncontested – withdrawn’.
According to the court order, her counsel filed a petition seeking permission to withdraw the matrimonial case.
Sangeetha personally confirmed before the court that she did not wish to proceed further and had voluntarily decided to withdraw the petition.
