Bengaluru: Two women allegedly died by suicide after hanging themselves from a tree outside a hotel in Shivanahalli on Jakkur Road in Yelahanka, Bengaluru, on Thursday, reportedly after their families opposed their relationship.
According to police, the deceased were identified as Sirjana, 22, and Rita, 23, both natives of Nepal.
In an attempt to separate them, the families brought them to Bengaluru about a month ago and allegedly kept them in two different hostels.
Rita was staying in Fraser Town, while Sirjana was staying in Jakkur, a few kilometres away.
However, unable to bear the separation and the alleged disapproval of their relationship, they reportedly took the extreme step.
