Either way, it is interesting to see where the Reacher franchise is heading. Even Tom Cruise's Jack Reacher movies did the same before the Prime Video detective series followed. While she gets to lead her own side of the franchise, Alan Ritchson's Jack Reacher will be treated as a side character. However, seeing Jack Reacher as Neagley's sidekick instead of having him as the main character can potentially harm his biggest strength. By marking his return in the Neagley spin-off, however, the Prime Video franchise risks making him seem a little too "available."
