Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after the fatal collision, which occurred on the N56 at Termon at approximately 4.30pm on Friday, August 7. His body has since been removed to the mortuary at Letterkenny University Hospital, where a post-mortem examination will take place in due course. The driver of the car, a woman in her 30s, was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital for treatment to injuries understood to be non-serious. The scene remains preserved for examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators, with local diversions continuing to operate while investigations are carried out. Gardaí are now appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward.
