A teenage bus enthusiast was given a special behind-the-scenes look at how a modern bus network operates during a visit to Stagecoach Midlands’ Stratford depot. Alistair, 17, was invited for the tour after his tutor, Stephen Hawkins, from New Meaning Training, contacted duty manager Zoe Stilgoe. The depot team organised the visit to give him an insight into the day-to-day running of the firm. Lead driver Rob Jones introduced Alistair to the engineering department, control systems and the technology used to keep buses running. Managing director Mark Whitelocks added: “We were delighted to have Alistair visit our operations, and I am grateful to Zoe and the team for making this happen.
