Dr Meger presented antisemitism, misogyny, racism and support for violence as components of a wider ecosystem of extremism among school students. To collapse them into a generic theory of extremism is intellectually convenient but analytically inadequate. Jewish students have reported intimidation, exclusion and abuse by peers motivated by Middle East politics rather than by neo-Nazi ideology or online “manosphere” culture. Academic evidence frequently relies upon teacher surveys and attitudinal research. Antisemitism cannot be understood simply by placing it inside a larger box labelled “extremism.”
