Three villagers near Ellesmere have won a £1m prize on the Postcode Lottery and unlocked a major cash boost for a children’s hospice charity. Head of fundraising Alison Marsh said: “We are incredibly grateful to Postcode Lottery players for this generous £100,000 of funding. Alison added: “On behalf of everyone at Hope House and Tŷ Gobaith thank you to Postcode Lottery players for choosing to support our work. Other charities benefiting, thanks to funds raised by Postcode Lottery players, include Little Stars Baby Bank, awarded £60,000, and Hector’s Greyhound Rescue, awarded £30,000.
